A Seaside Stroll from Harumi Futo Park to Toyosu Market via the Olympic Village
This time, we start from Harumi Futo, a place you wouldn’t visit unless you make a point of going. Even if you’ve heard the name, many people don’t know what it’s like. Unknown places are perfect for a walk.
However, there is one thing to note about this route. Avoid it on bad weather days, especially when it’s very windy, as you will cross a large bridge that is quite high above the water.
Along the seaside of Harumi Futo, there is a park with a cafe inside. Let’s aim for this cafe first. It’s a direct bus ride from Tokyo Station, Ginza, and Tsukiji on the city bus, serviced by brand-new hydrogen fuel cell buses.
If the weather is good, you can enjoy a pleasant walk past the seaside apartment complexes. Harumi Futo will eventually be accessible by train, which adds to its somewhat mysterious atmosphere, as it’s unclear if it’s inhabited.
Many items in the Toyosu Market can be pricey, so it’s recommended to limit yourself to snacking and save your main meal and shopping for Lalaport Toyosu, where a Blue Bottle Coffee has also recently opened.
The nearest stations are Toyosu (Y22) on the Yurakucho Line, or Toyosu (U16) on the Yurikamome line mentioned earlier.
