Spacious and relaxing walk in a park in Tachikawa, away from the city center
If you want to take a relaxing stroll away from the city center, Tachikawa is the place for you. It is spacious and has a good blend of greenery and city life, so you can enjoy it in a variety of ways.
First, walk from JR Tachikawa Station to the GREEN SPRINGS facility. There are many cafes and restaurants here, and you can enjoy delicious curry. If you have time to spare, there are also many fun stores such as IKEA just beyond the station.
However, since there is a lot of walking to be done later in the day, it would be safe to take it easy and have lunch at least.
The park is in the shape of a large L. Entering from the Tachikawa Station side, the park is at the very corner, so it is quite wide and long. Take your time while drinking water and looking at the flowers and plants. If you get tired, there are stores and cafes along the way.
The best place to visit is the large grass field in the center. The large zelkova tree in the middle is really beautiful, and you will lose track of time when sitting on the lawn looking at it.
There are fewer spots this time, but you will be doing a lot of walking. Please allow plenty of time to enjoy yourself. JR Nishi-Tachikawa station is located near the park, so please return from there.
