After a park lunch in Daikanyama, a stroll along the Meguro River to Starbucks Roastery Tokyo

This time, a little stylish walk from Daikanyama to Nakameguro Station (TY02) via the Meguro River.

The path from Daikanyama Station (TY02) to Saigoyama Park is flat, but from there it is steep to the Meguro River. Starbucks Roastery Tokyo is located at the bottom.

First, depart from Daikanyama Station to the former Asakura Family Residence. It takes about 10 minutes to get there while also strolling around the station. It may not seem to fit the image of Daikanyama, but you can feel the history of Daikanyama.

The address near Daikanyama is “Sarugakucho,” a 6th-7th century burial mound that gave the area its name. It is a small space but has been carefully preserved with a very nice atmosphere. If you visit the neighborhood, pay a visit.

A great grocery store that has been around for a long time. Homemade bread and fine imported ingredients are a pleasure to browse. Among the breads, the natural yeast croissants are popular. We recommend buying bread, drinks, and deli items and having a picnic at the nearby Saigoyama Park.

One of five Roasteries in the world. The architecture was carefully designed by Kengo Kuma. The terrace seating on the upper floor is highly recommended.

A delicious old-fashioned cheesecake store. There are several varieties, but we recommend the “Mellow (メロー)”. It is a perfect souvenir during a walk along the Meguro River.

From here, Nakameguro station (TY02) is just around the corner. There are many stores around the station and under the elevated railway tracks, so please take a stroll on your way home.

Daikanyama and Nakameguro are famous for being fashionable places, but they also have history, so you can enjoy them in a more relaxed way!
