The red bridge is often chosen as the scenery of Tsukuda-jima and Tsukishima. It is also an interesting contrast to the high-rise condominiums on Tsukuda Island. There are Sumiyoshi Shrine and Tsukuda Tendai Jizoson nearby, so please visit them. The Tsukuda Tendai Jizoson in particular is located in a mysterious place, so it is fun to look for it.
This tsukudani store has been in business for nearly 200 years. Tsukudani, which you don’t often buy for yourself, tastes better when you buy it at a long-established shop like this. The history of Tsukudajima is also interesting, so please check it out.
Monja is the most popular type of food in Tsukishima, but the melon bread at this store is also delicious and highly recommended. You can even hear an original melonpan song(?) played in the store.
