Image of A Stroll from Enjoying a Food Tour in Tsukiji, Across the Sumida River, to Tsukishima.

Our journey begins at Tokyo’s Tsukiji Outer Market. The nearest stations are Tsukiji Station (H11) on the Hibiya Line or Tsukiji Shijo Station (E18) on the Oedo Line.

Although the main fish market has moved to Toyosu, the Tsukiji Outer Market remains, offering a variety of delicious options.

We start our stroll with lunch in Tsukiji. After enjoying your meal, take a leisurely walk along the Sumida River, ultimately aiming for Tsukishima.

After exploring Tsukiji Outer Market, cross Harumi Street to reach the next spot. It’s almost directly in front, so it takes about 3 minutes.
After relaxing in the main hall or at a cafe, the next spot is about 5 minutes away. Along the way, you’ll pass through Tsukiji River Park.
After picking up some bread suitable for a walking snack, the next spot is about 5 minutes away. You can enjoy a leisurely time while taking in the views of the Sumida River.
After relaxing while gazing at the Sumida River from behind the building, aim for the island on the opposite bank. First, cross the Tsukuda Ohashi Bridge located to the left when facing the river. The next spot is about 10 minutes away.
The next spot is only about 2 minutes away, but this area is historically interesting, so let’s take a stroll around. You’ll also find Sumiyoshi Shrine here.
The next spot is about 5 minutes away. Entering the straight road of Tsukishima Monja Street is truly exciting.

The goal for this journey is a melon bread shop located in Tsukishima’s shopping street, “Tsukishima Monja Street.”

Like Tsukiji, Tsukishima is also a food haven. In addition to monja and okonomiyaki, there are various other shops gathered here. Even if you’re too full to eat anymore that day, take your time to look around and make plans for your next visit.

The nearest station is Tsukishima Station (Yurakucho Line Y21 / Oedo Line E16).
