A Walking Route from Tokyo Station, through Marunouchi Nakadori and Hibiya Park, to a Long-Established Soba Restaurant in Toranomon.
Tokyo Station’ is our starting point this time. This walking route covers a bit of distance, so don’t forget to stay hydrated.
I recommend the route through Marunouchi Nakadori from Tokyo Station. It’s a beautiful tree-lined street lined with high-end shops. But it’s not just about luxury; you’ll find chain restaurants in the basements of buildings, as well as art galleries and specialist tea shops from Kyoto.
The walk this time involves traversing a grid-like path. With its clear directions, numerous detours are highly encouraged.
Toranomon Hills is our goal this time. Let’s take a break at the bakery Sawamura on the second floor (the same Sawamura that is in Karuizawa and Hiroo is also in Toranomon Hills).
Toranomon Hills Station (H06) is attached to the building, but it is difficult to find the station from inside the building, so it may be faster to find it on the ground by looking at Google Maps.
Unless you work there, you might not often find yourself heading to Toranomon. That’s why it’s perfect for a walk. As an area still under development, it’s likely to become even more enjoyable in the future.
After taking a short break in Toranomon Hills, if you still have the energy to walk, let’s head towards “Tokyo Tower”! It’s about a 20-minute leisurely walk.
